Established in 1991 as a gallery membership organization, the JCCC Gallery Associates are integral to the success of the gallery through their support of exhibitions, acquisitions and related programming. Gallery Associates events, such as the biennial Beyond Bounds fund-raisers, have gained national recognition and participation.

Thirteen years ago, the contemporary art landscape in Greater Kansas City was dotted with few galleries. Today, opportunities to view and embrace contemporary art have exploded! The Gallery of Art at Johnson County Community College is a leader in bringing groundbreaking contemporary works to our community.
